Triple Offset Graphite Metal Seal Butterfly Valve
Triple Offset Graphite Metal Seal Butterfly Valve is an optimized design developed by ZZJG based on imported foreign technology, which addresses the shortcomings of previous models to ensure longer service life and more reliable sealing. The valve employs a graphite-metal seal and a three-dimensional eccentric design principle, with the sealing pair consisting of two overlapping conical sections cut at an angle. The rotation center of the disc, after being offset relative to the valve body and seat, enables instantaneous contact and separation during opening and closing. The layered structure of metal and graphite in the disc seal ring achieves a labyrinth-style seal, which not only reduces the torque required for opening and closing but also ensures the triple offset metal seal butterfly valve’s sealing performance. The bidirectional pressure-resistant butterfly valve achieves zero leakage at both the inlet and outlet by reducing the eccentricity and enhancing the strength of the disc, valve shaft, and actuator.
Structural Features
The valve employs a radially balanced sealing system with an inclined elliptical disc. Forces on both sides of the inlet and outlet are nearly balanced, resulting in low opening torque and reliable sealing performance in both directions, achieving 100% bidirectional pressure resistance.
The sealing surface of the disc employs a solid metal sealing ring machined with high precision. The sealing surface is circular in shape and forms a sealing pair with the seat’s metal sealing surface. When the valve opens or closes, the sealing surfaces of the disc and seat make instantaneous contact or disengagement at every point along a 360-degree arc, enabling rapid and precise opening or closing operations.
A triple-eccentric structure is employed, which adds an additional angular eccentricity to the double-eccentric butterfly valve design.
