ZZJG VALVE Successfully Ships Alloy C4 Plug Valves for Highly Corrosive Chemical Fluid Services

Zhengzhou Jinggong Technology Co., Ltd. recently completed a comprehensive quality inspection and protective packaging for a batch of C4 alloy (Hastelloy C4, UNS N06455) flange plug valves. These plug valves have been shipped to the fine chemical project site in the United Arab Emirates. The batch of goods includes Class150, C4 alloy plug valves of 3 inches and 1.5 inches, which were specially designed for process pipelines transporting corrosive media containing chlorine and mixed acids.

Premium Corrosion-Resistant Alloy Selection for Demanding Chemical Conditions

The valve body and valve core are both as a single piece from Hastelloy C4 alloy (N06455 / W.Nr.2.4610), which is completely different from traditional stainless steel and standard C276 alloy.

1. This material is formulated with a titanium-stabilized ultra-low carbon recipe, eliminating the risk of intergranular corrosion after welding. Even at temperatures ranging from 650 to 1040°C, no harmful intermetallic compound phases will precipitate, thus allowing for direct use without the need for post-weld heat treatment.

2. This alloy possesses both anti-oxidation and anti-reduction corrosion resistance properties. It exhibits outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking in environments such as hot hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, moist chlorine gas, salt water and flue gas desulfurization. This makes it an essential valve material for chlorine alkali, pharmaceutical, pickling and waste acid recovery facilities.

3. The sealing surfaces of the valve body and valve core are precisely processed using high-precision mirror grinding technology to eliminate any machining marks that may cause corrosion, thereby ensuring long-term sealing integrity and service life.

    Rigorous Full-Process Quality Inspection with Complete Documentation

    All C4 plug valves underwent multiple standard pre-shipment testing procedures:

    ・ Water pressure shell tests and air tightness tests were conducted for each device, and no leakage or deformation was found.

    ・ Through material verification, it was 100% confirmed that the material was PMI, and an original factory inspection certificate were attached.

    ・ The complete set of documents, including product certificates, hydrostatic test reports, operation manuals, and IPPC-certified fumigation wooden crates, fully complies with the overseas PED and API project entry requirements.

    Professional Anti-Corrosion Packaging for Ocean Transit Integrity

    Given the risk of salt fog corrosion for nickel-based alloys during maritime transportation, the following specialized protective packaging standards have been implemented:

    1. Metal blind plates are installed at both ends of the valve to fully protect the flange sealing surface; the valve stem threads and the flange sealing surface are all coated with special nickel alloy anti-rust compound.

    2. Each valve is wrapped with multiple layers of foam buffer material and is applied to the protruding parts to prevent damage to the sealing surface caused by impacts during transportation.

    3. Each valve is packed in an independent IPPC heat-treated wooden box. The box contains desiccants and is marked with international transportation symbols to indicate moisture protection, light handling, and prevention of upside-down placement.

    4. Before shipment, all valve plugs are fixed in the fully open position to prevent the valve seat seal from deforming due to vibration and impact during transportation.
