Seawater Desalination Plug Valve, Resistant To High Pressure And Corrosion
High-pressure plug valve designed specially for seawater desalination. The product are made of 2205/2507 duplex stainless steels, twice the strength of ordinary stainless steel. It can be resist high salt and high chloride ion corrosion and is suitable for the high-pressure section of reverse osmosis (SWRO).

The valve have compact structure. By rotating 90°the plug valve can be quick opened and closed, and without any stagnant dead corner. Also, it will reduce the accumulation of salt particles. The sealing of the valve can be selected as PTFE soft seal or metal seal too. The maximum pressure is Class1500, and the temperature range is -46 ℃ to 500 ℃. It cover key positions such as seawater inlet, high-pressure pump outlet, and concentrated brine discharge.

2205/2505 duplex steel is resistant to chloride ion pitting, with PREN ≥ 35. It won't develop small pits even when soaked in seawater for a very long time. When exposed to high-salt water, ordinary stainless steel would develop spots after just one or two years. But this particular stainless steel remains shiny for ten years. There is no need for the entire equipment to be retired prematurely due to rust spots, saving a significant amount of replacement costs.
2. High strength, thinner pipe wall
The strength of this steel is twice that of ordinary 316L. Valves can be made thinner and lighter, yet still withstand water pressure of 60-90 kilograms. After the pipe wall is thinned, the corresponding flanges, bolts, and supports all become smaller, making the entire system more compact. The installation cost and material cost are both reduced together.
3. Sealed well, no particle jamming
The stopcock has a 90° switch and a large sealing surface. It can also self-clean surface salt particles. The crystals in concentrated brine are less like to be stuck, reducing leakage and downtime. Workers no longer need to use tools to hammer and chisel. The site is much more convenient. The number of production line shutdowns has been significantly reduced.
4. Low maintenance, long service life
No valve chamber dead space, no liquid accumulation, reducing biofouling; actual measurement shows that the service life of this product is 8-10 years longer than that of coated valves, also save replacement costs.
5. Reasonable cost
The performance is comparable to that of expensive nickel-based alloys, yet the purchase price is 30-40% lower. Additionally, it has a long lifespan, requires less maintenance, and has a short downtime. When all these factors are taken into account, on average, each valve can save about 40% of maintenance costs.
